I wanted to add a great thank you for this community being here.
I want to take a stab in the dark, and anticipate that all new and big titles going forward are going to need a new modification system in place.

Is there a difference between the SUNSHINE and WiiSOS release?

this community is awesome.
i followed the instructions for the usb loader and now guitar hero 5 is working on:
NeoGAF'S USB Loader
of note- i soldered a gamecube memory card inside my wii a couple years back. i was afraid it would cause problems since it says to "Remove all GameCube memory cards and controllers" on GAF's tutorial. thankfully, so far so good.....

I just did this yesterday, start by installing
First make sure you have cios38 rev 14
1. Then install IOS56-64-v5146.wad using wad manager
2. Install IOS 37 merged with IOS 36 as IOS 232
IOS 37 merged with 37 as IOS 232
RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting
3. Run softchip RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting(if link doesn't work, google it) from Homebrew Channel and then, at the menu press the + button on your wiimote choose IOS232 should be rev 7, then press A twice and it should boot up, if this doesn't work, then I don't know what to say
OH and this is for 4.1U!!!!!!!!!!!
And I haven't been able to get it to work with Neogamma R7, although I'd prefer to
