I am. I've tried rereading everything, and making sure I've done it all (and redoing some things to be extra sure). I'm able to get the game to show the splash screen with the white load bar at the bottom, but it just sits there. If I try to turn off the wii with the controller, the screen goes black, but the wii stays on. It's doing this through uload, and usbloader with ios 222. Any clues? Also, on the disk method it says to install a wad, my wad manager (v1.4) asks which ios to use... I've tried using 222, but it still isn't working. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the help everyone
BIG THANK YOU to everyone here for all the information you've shared! Extremely helpful!

I also did the cIOSCORP (v3.3) install then I was finally able to get the multIOS to install the 37/37 rev07 as 232 (via wifi) without the errors that everyone was talking about on page 9 (ddruizs quoting Lucideus). (I had those same errors before installing cIOSCORP.) After that I could see the IOS 232 in SoftChip and launched the GH5 backup DVD just fine! Indeed...ROCK ON!

Christ I was hoping not to have to resort to cIOSCORP but it looks like the fastest and easiest solution.

Thanks a million guys. This board rules.

    Hi guys,

I have just bought GH5 for my wii which is modded according to this guide... http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

it wants to do an update, do i let it do the update before i run through the guide at the beginning of this thread or do i install all the wads and software before i let it update?

I really dont wnat to brick it but am really worried about doing anything the wrong way round and the missus is getting a "little" impatient with me as she cant play her new game...

help me obi wan, youre my only hope :-)

I actually let it do the update when I played the retail GH5 DVD before I installed the wads and software. The update changed my wii from 3.3U to 3.4U. Everything seems to be fine with my wii...no bricks or anything, still able to play all my games. (Just to let you know, I didn't softmod my wii according to that guide, so I don't know if there are any critical differences from what I did a while back.)

Alright thought I'd reply since I still see lots of people asking about disc loading. I'll just add what worked for me.

Background - started with a soft modded 4.0
followed the guide here Update to 4.1 firmware with already softmoded system.
(skipped step 3 of that guide)

Then continued with step 1 of the guide here (downloading and installing IOS56-64-v5146.wad)

    Skipped step 2

Step 3 downloaded softchip installed the wad and used IOS56, with 002 fix enabled

NOTE:After upgrading to 4.1 I did try running GH5 through the normal disc loader and let it update (whatever that was)
