    Then i installed multicios
I changed it to IOS 37 as IOS 232
    I loaded up SoftChip
I changed the IOS using the + button to use 232
I loaded the Wii Guitar Hero 5 NTSC backup disk
and it worked. I was having problems with softchip before I installed cioscorps wads.

Hope this helps anyone using disks! Rock on!

I think I have success so far (I had a hard modded wii but was using usb loader).

The game now boots and works fine, but if I exit to the Wii menu, the system freezes at a black screen. I did notice conflicting steps between two posts, so I'm wondering if I did something slightly wrong.

    Posted here in this thread:
3-3- Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push (A)
3-4- Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select Use IOS36 (use D-pad left/right to find the right one and push (A))
3-5- Wait for download and installation to complete
3-6- Start HomeBrew Channel *Again and start the cIOS 222 Installer *Again
3-7- This time select Custom IOS 223 and select IOS37 merged with IOS36 (use D-pad left/right to find the right one and push (A))
I could not do this as it was listed, on step 3-4, I did not have IOS36, and I could not select anything else by moving the D pad. On step 3-7 I again could not complete as listed, because I did not have an option with IOS36.

What I did use was the info posted by Demo777 here

    6 - Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
7 - Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select Use IOS38 merged with IOS37
8 - Wait for download and installation to complete
9 - Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer again
10 - Select IOS249 "again" to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
11 - This time select Custom IOS 223 and select IOS38 merged with IOS60

Did I do something incorrectly? How can I correct it if I did?

    3-2 - UnRAR uloader_v3.0B.rar and copy the apps/cios_installer/ directory to sd:/apps/
3-3 - Find ehcmodule.elf in uloader_v3.0B folder you just extracted, copy and rename it to sd:/usb-loader/ehcmodule4.elf *make the folder and rename
3-4 - Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer
3-5 - Read the warning message and push A
    3-6 - Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A

It's working for me on Configurable USB Loader with rev 14 of cIOS38 and v4 of Hermes cIOS222, doing pretty much exactly CYB3RFR34K's steps above. As soon as the little yak is done watching Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader, I need to make sure I can still run Rock Band and Wii Sports Resort after all this futzing.

    ETA:
Huh, now Configurable USB loader is crashing when I start it. But, Guitar Hero is working in GX again. I have to exit with Reset instead of Wii Menu or the Wii hangs, but at least it's working, and so are all my other "problem" games.

i would just like to say that if you still have firmwair 3.4 you do not have to upgrade your system to get gh5 to work!! all you need to do is get the IOS56-64-V5146 wad from google and install it using your choice of wadmanagers, download softmod from above and acses it through your hambrew browser, sellect ios 56 to run and play the game. it worked for me.

After downloading 4.1 firmware, how do you update it on the Wii?
