Hey guys, am i getting this right that if I don't have the chip this won't play on a soft modded Wii? I have 4.1U. And a retail copy of the game. Has anyone tried Alt-dol from disc to get this to work? Thanks.

please excuse my broken English, but i need help with the Guitar Hero 5 game.
i have an 4.1U system, with Wasabi-dx chip, without any other software.
when I'm putting the disc i the Update System icon at the Disk Channel.
I'm afraid to try the update cause i dont want to have a Brick.
what should i do?
thank's for your help.

I give up on this game! I have tried everything posted everything I can think of and still no go. I have 4.0u softmodded with bannerbomb, i believe cios 249 rev b ive tried gamma, and a couple other disc loaders and still nothing. I dont have the option of 223 or 222 and i cant figure out why after running the 222 loader it still does not come up as an option. i suspect that is where my issue is but i really dont know for sure, if anyone has any ideas or questions please let me know so i can figure this out.

i'm not sure if that's case. i read every page up until this one and tried every method i came across. i think for me a lot of it has to do with the system i am running as i have been on menu 3.2 for some time. i patiently read every post i could on this topic for several hours and spent more hours working with my wii before i even dared ask a question. luckily the person who replied to me was kind and helpful, which is what i enjoy on forums.
