sorry if this has been covered before but I couldn't find it
I;m pretty new with wii so I;ll give you my short story
got wii last week, was v3.4, installed HBC through Zelda hack, updated wii to 4.1, installed CIOS (dont know which) and Coverfloaded to play USB games.
Downloaded few games and played all ok till I got Wii resort
I tried to run it by opening HBC channel and running coverfloaded but it crashed my wii and I had to plug it out of power to restart
now when i try to run HBC it says something along the lines that system files are corrupt and to look into wii guide bla bla bla
I just want to be able to use my HBC channel again and play games through USB?? any idea?
Its a PAL system and i;m rather dumb with hacking so if there is step by step on how to do it, MUCH APPRECIATED...

Have you installed Preloader, or bootmii? try powering on while pressing the reset button.

umm. dunno if this helps.
but did you accidently replace your homebrew .dol with the sports resort .dol on your sd card when adding the alternate dol? It happens.

there is no such thing as a homebrew dol, it is in the wii memory, dows not nheed a dol. Reinstall it using the bannerbomb hack. also you may want to install bootmii

no I didnt touch the files on the sd card, I put the wii resort on USB

Yes it is safe, i would not want your wii to brick man...
if u are unsure search a bit around, see what helps you with your case

that advice sounds good, reinstall HBC using bannerbomb, did you use the alternate dol loading method to get resort working? if so like was mentioned you may have had something mixed up
nah, didnt do anything to it actually- didnt know there was a problem running the game so I just saved ISO onto my USB drive and tried to play it on wii
