    ISO Patching on Guitar Hero(s)

Hi all .. long time reader and follower of the great Wii tut's .. I have scoured this and other sites, but I can not find a resolution to my problem ...

I have two GH games ripped to my pc and trying to use IOSPatcher v1.0 & 1.1 to patch the IOS's. Each time (with both versions), I get the message "ERROR: Couldn't get ISO information!" .. I have ripped several back up's for games that I own, and don't have this issue with any other of my games.

Is it a GH issue? .. or does the problem exist between the chair and the computer?

its just a guitar hero issue, this because normal wii isos have a console ID of R while Guitar Hero has an ID of S, if you load your iso Wii BrickBlocker, you would notice most ISOs would say R(Wii) while Guitar Hero would say S (???) and you don't always need to patch yours ISOs unless its IOS is set to IOS9 just burn it and load it through a backup launcher, i've played guitar hero before.

I read a thread regarding this same issue... I assume your burning the games? Someone posted that you don't have to patch every game. Try burning it without patching them.

I have a question why not invest in an external HD? You can get a great HD for under $70... I didn't have to patch any of my GH games.. Plus you save $$ by not having to buy Dvds. I'm sorry I couldn't help since I never burned a wii game I don't have any experience with that.

    @ ShadowSonic2 :
Thanks, I will try that .. I thought that I needed to patch each game. I never noticed the R vs. S consol ID .. I will try to rip it right now ..

    @ J-Dot :
Thanks for the heads up .. but .. One word .. 3 kids ... all boys .. all under the age of 10 .. with an Ext HD .. I would worry about them wrecking that and/or my Wii .. the worst that they can do is play frisbee with a DVD .. but thank you for the advice. I was actually trying to move all of my ISO's to an ext hd - but I think that PC's have a limit on transfer of less than 4gb .. any ideas on that?

That's because the drive is probably formated in FAT which limits file sizes to 4GB if you were format to NTFS, that limit would be removed.
