this is what mite be the problem:

    1. u need a later cios(rev14 came out a couple of days ago)
    2. you didnt follow the intro buttons at the beginning properly thats why you cannot move until u have done those.

i will test it later on tonite and see if i have a similiar issue

PS: I have tried blowing into the nunchuck area trick - does not help

PS: The nunchuck and control stick works in the menu selection, but just can't get the character to walk or run

PS: The same problem persists even using the original game disc to load the game!!
Never heard of a blowing in the nunchuck trick. Didn't know dust could get that bad. I've had a slight short in one of my nunchuck cords in the back of its connecting piece from it being accidentally snatched out a few times, but fixed that.

If the problem persists even using the original game disc I'm clueless as what to tell you.

Hmmm...does the Wiimote re-sync after each screen loads showing that it is on and in use?

Yeah, you might not have followed and sucessfully completed the specific intro tutorial game controls to proceed.

Go back and click 'Edit' in your other threads and there's a 'Delete' button, but don't know if you can delete the threads after someone has replied to them or not.

Nintendo' most inspired core game titles are stuck overseas. Nintendo Of America sux when it comes to the localization of these game titles as they court with their new found casual gamer/soccer mom audience this console generation. Thus indirectly promoting the growth of Homebrewing & basically telling their core audience if they want it, mod chip or Homebrew it. Thanks Nintendo! My Wii and its functionalities have never felt more complete than when I took my first sip of the Brew. - Brewaholic

What do you mean by intro button at the beginning? there is not much intro apart from a movie and simple instructions ... and have you managed to test this? thanks a lot

    Hi folks,

i managed to resolve this issue!!

thanks to all your suggestions about me doing somethingwrong in the tutorial scene which i honestly do not know what i did wrong ... so i ended up ringing nintendo customer care about this game and they say i need to move the camera lens of the game way high to the back in order to activate the character to mobilise him... i gave that a last try and it turned out right! i finally can move the character!!

Enjoy all the action of this game. So sad it's stuck in overseas limbo like other great import titles. Damn it NOA...and it's a first party published game thats so inspired.

i wonder what kind of wii titles or genres do you usually get in usa? i thought Disaster Day of Crisis falls into the common category where you can find it just about anywhere...

i'd share it with you and others via torrent but i am honest afraid of viruses and other problems which i have encountered before...

It's cool. I enjoy collecting imports. Though I see how some of the Europe kids felt when the US got releases that they didn't receive.

in case you were wondering, this game works great on 3.2u on backupchannel gamma 0.3 without forcing any region changes(since i guess starfall does that for you). and in the tutorial scene it said look at the volcano...which is rite behind you, in order for you to move futher!! this game looks interesting enough, gotta give it some more time
