Are you sure you put the "usb-loader" folder in the root of your SD card? did you check that folder has two .wdm files? (otherwise you're trying an old version of CFG Loader).

It seems like your CFG Loader can't find the WDM files.

Idk what I'm doing wrong
I had the same problem. The solution for me was to rename "R3X.wdm" to "R3Y.wdm" (located in the usb-loader folder in the root of my SD card).

You can do it using NeoGamma or Configurable USB Loader.

    USING NEOGAMMA:

1.- Get the latest NeoGamma at least RC6 for both games: NeoGamma R8 beta test - GBAtemp.net
2.- As you can see there's a folder called NeoGamma in the ZIP file with a lot of WDM files and you have to put that folder in the root of your SD card.
3.- In Neogamma mount your USB device and in Config Options and select ALT DOL: Disc+ Only
4.- When you start the game Neogamma will let you select which episode you want to launch. If it doesn't then you didn't understand step 2 (shame on you)

    Thanks for this Scorpius.
I have never used NeoGamma before and it took me quite a while to realise that after I had launched the game I had to use the left/right directional pad to scroll through the episode list, I just kept pressing the A button and the game would start as normal and then reset DOH.
I have got it running now - great job

I'm not a fan of your chosen name, pal.

Edit: I am a fan of your newly-edited sig, however.

Just in case there are other brain dead numpties like me out there here is a dumbed down set of instructions.
You have to instal the Neogamma from the link by Scorpius first NeoGamma R8 beta test - GBAtemp.net and follow his instructions (thanks Scorpius) then

Start the Wii and click on the Homebrew Icon
Scroll to the Neogamma icon and click on it then click “load”
Using the directional arrow pad on the Wii remote scroll down to “Load games from DVD” then use the left/right arrow until it says “Load games from USB” then press the A button.
Scroll up to the top of the screen and use the left/right arrows until you get to the Sam and Max game you want to play and press the A button.
On the next screen use the left/right arrows to select the episode you want to play and press the A button.
Each time you complete an episode the Wii will reset and you will have to follow this procedure again.

Talking Thanks! how I fixed Sam & Max season II

I'm a noob to the homebrewed wii, and used your above instructions for USB Loader with a bit of modification.

I just upgraded to Configurable USB Loader v60 Configurable USB Loader - GBAtemp.net, but did not see the list of episodes when the "alt.dol" was set to disc, and the game would not execute properly [when I executed the game, it loaded but crashed to a blue screen and reset the Wii when I selected an episode to play]

[NB: it also required setting to iso250 to load, and would not launch from iso249???]

reading deeper into your post, I did not see the "wdm" files you spoke about, there were only two of them in the "SD:\usb-loader\" directory.

[for the record: R3M.wdm and R3X.wdm]

I noted from the titles.txt file that the Sam & Max games begin with R3X and R3Y for seasons 1 & 2, respectively.
since it appeared that a wdm that corresponded to season 1 [R3X.wdm], I simply copied the file and renamed it "R3Y.wdm"; keeping it in the same folder.

when I fired up the Wii, it now allowed me to select between the episodes of Sam & Max Season 2, and it is playing nicely.

My resulting questions center around what these wdm files are, but that is the topic for another thread.

    Thanks for the lead!
