Question Little League World Series 2009 (USA WII-ZRY)

has anyone else been having terrible problems with this one? I got the ZRY scene release, burned at 4x (the slowest I can burn) on a sony DVD-R and it is skipping like mad during the intro and the announcer's speech in gameplay. when i exit the game and try to go back to the menu it starts doing an insane amount of work and never gets anywhere. i'm afraid this disc is going to kill my wii.

i've burned over 25 games using sony and verbatims and none of them are this bad. Some may skip horrendously during video playback (Wario Land: Shake It!, WarioWare) or lose sync of the audio but not to the point where i think my system is going to break. as i said, i have verbatims but i'm not going to waste one until someone can advise me otherwise.

has anyone else burned this and had problems?

No problems with the release, plays fine, I got it on memorex DVD-R, but sony's are better, so I don't know what the problem may be. Try getting ISO from somewhere else, but if it is loading, it shouldn't be a problem. It may be your wii's laser. How old is your system and how much play time do you have on it? try cleaning the lens

well i'm not sure about play time, because the system is from february 2008. the problem is i didn't realize that the system wasn't actually off when it had the yellow light and was in standby--so it had been left in this state for at least a year. i've heard this causes overheated video cards, etc. i had been experiencing weird problems with my system menu not loading channels/games, so i had to force the system's power off by holding down the power button for 5 secs. this seemed to fix problems i was having with other problems.

i did run the newest version of brickblocker on the iso beforehand. i'm not going to kill my system over this game, i just needed some advice. thanks for the feedback VashTS.

I have a homebrew'd wii and I am unable to get the retail version of the game to work. I've had no problems with any other retail or backups with my wii excpet this game. Any sugggestions would be welcomed.
