If you ever tried a game of which you didnt have that particular ios installed, you would get the error 002 screen. Since you arent getting that screen and the game does actually load to a menu, you obviously have the ios the game needs. The problem you are probably having is that the game cant be played on an out of region console. Since its a pal game being played on a NTSC console, its out of region. Same thing would be if you had a pal wii and tried a ntsc version game copy on it. I do know for a fact that the ntsc game does work on ntsc wiis. There is someone else in another thread thats having the exact same problem. Try getting ahold of the NTSC copy. You can download those all over the place.

Also not to bring up old posts but dealing with the real copy game giving a black screen.... That is due to the game "requiring" a disc update in order to play the game, but the modchip settings are set up to not allow disc updates to take place, so therefore the game hangs at the black screen. I know with softmodded wiis, if you have preloader or starfall installed, you can actually set it up to do the same thing. I have a few real copy games that "require" a disc update to play the game. If I load it through the disc channel, the game will hang at a black screen because starfall doesnt allow disc updates BUT if I take that same game and load it using any backup launcher, the game will simply bypass the disc update once again because of starfall. I honestly dont know how a modchip works when dealing with these things. obviously the modchip is blocking disc updates, but since there is no such thing as a backup launcher when it comes to using modchips, there has to be a way of bypassing the update instead of hanging at the black screen.

OK, I figured it out, all I needed to do was start with default settings on neo gamma version 6 and then just change force video to WII. so if any one else has the same set up as me with the pal version that is all you need to get the game to work perfectly. btw Jasons34 if you have the same set up as me you can play any region jap, pal, and usa (of course) thanks for trying to help. I have a PAL wii , 4.1e with HBC installed . I bought an original NTSC GRANDSLAM TENNIS with WM+. My Wii is not modded . When i try to start the game with GECKO OS, it gives me # 002 ERROR . What should I do ??

I have ntsc wii, 3.3u, cIOS38 r14 and have the same problem. It freezed at EA Grand slam tennis screen. I tried with USB loader gx, Neo gamma r7 and it all the same.
