Hello everyone,
I got a little question. I've downloaded a game in wad format. I know how to install it with wad manager (it's already installed anyway). My question is, is there a way to launch the game from the sd card in wad format?

no i don't think you can't
Dont know if this is possible but if it is, you need to remove the boot.dol from the wad. I know you can take a boot.dol and create a wad from it but not sure if you can vice versa.

I just though of something. From 4.0 I think, you can run channel and vc from the sd. Right now, I downgraded to 3.2 (from 3.4) and installed a bunch of ios to make everything work (though the shop channel tell me I must update). In data management, I can copy the channel over my sd. Problem is, channel from SD aren't loaded in 3.2.
Hmmm... thinking of that, now that I have a working backup loader (neogama), usb loader and all, is it safe to update to 4.0 or that would be a mistake?

I honestly dont like 4.0 I have read all over that the best firmware to have is 3.2 You can run everything on 3.2 and until I have a problem, I wont change it. Dealing with your wad questions, I will give you a website which I became a member to and that site will be able to help you out alot. wadder.net
thank you, I'll check on that. Problem is my wii is nearly full of VC game and copying them on my SD doesn't allow me to run the game. So I though of downloading it from the net in wad format to solve the shot, but seems like it was a mistake.
Edit: Are you aware of an offline update to be able to use the shop again? When I enter the channel, it says I must update. Also, the update to be able to launch channel from sd, do you know of a way to install it on 3.2? I'm looking for offline way cause every online method failed (had a real pain trying to downgrade from 3.4 to 3.2 since cios and ios downgrader didn't work online).

Why not get emulators? I have a genesis, NES, and SNES emulator with all the roms for each on my sd card.
Yeah I know, I'm just not a fan of emulator. It just suck a bit since I already paid on VC. Thus I still wonder why I bother with VC game when I mostly owned all of those I'm downloading at least 2 times (including remake and all) on the original console
