The WII will fail only if nintendo stops developing it, it should have been released next year but business wise it would be a horrible decsicion to do that. Now we just have to sit and wait a bit while we play Zelda and Red Steel
Well said. Apparently The ps3 is outselling the xbox 360 in japan but, the 360 has quite the market in north america. The ps2 was successful because it had killer apps and obtained them by having their developer kits out first. Nintendo has to be creative to obtain market share and thus far they are doing it through the unique gameplay experiences it offers.

COD3 sucks because there's no multiplayer. I've played it on the 360, and it's amazing. mutliplayer adds such another dimension to gaming.

hopefully the ps3 will have a good online system like the xbox 360 live

Multiplayer COD on the Wii would be kinda weird... not many kills I'd imagine. Still as a novelty, it should have been included with at least one mode..

Online multiplayer for these types of games should be a standard nowadays like on the PC.

I think they didn't make COD3 multiplayer capable, was because nintendo didn't release any info on their online service yet.

probably in a year, we'll start seeing a bunch of multiplayer games for the wii

That makes sense. Plus they probably want a chance to work out all the kinks. Xboxlive has had alot of time in the marketplace....Nintendo is just starting out in North America.

They went through the same thing with the DS. It was awhile after release before full blown online multiplayer was available.
