Question about NTSC and PAL games?

Firstly..hi :) I'm new here, so I apologise if I've posted this in the wrong section. If I have, just let me know.

Alright; I recently purchased 'NASCAR the game: 2011' off eBay. Up until this point in time, I had no idea that NTSC and PAL reginal formats even existed. I've been searching all over the Internet just to try and find an answer to this question with no luck. I live in Australia, but my Aunty purchased my Wii from the U.S. Oddly enough, it seems as though the wii is in the PAL format, as the 'Wii Sports' game that came with it has the PAL symbol on it.

I ordered the game from the U.S, because it's not sold here. The guy said it was in the NTSC format. So my question is; if I just insert the game and attempt to play it on my wii, will it brick the console? Or destroy it in any other shape or form? Because if I break it, I'm screwed.

I'd appreciate any help. :)

I've used priiloader and enable region free - so on my PAL Wii NTSC games runs fine (i.e. EA Sport Active NFL Training Camp is only in NTSC - due to licence reasons :/ )
Hit priiloader and unlock power of Wii ;) (or use an usb loader to play games out your region)
