if i buy a nintendo gamecube game and have a WII, can i use the wii remote to...
...play the game? in other words do i have to buy a nintendo gamecube controler to play the game on my wii?

I just realized I was confusing so I'm appending it - yes to answer your question. Wii controllers ONLY play Wii games and NES games. Not gamecube games.
