I still cannot connect to multiplayer. It loads for single player just fine, but when I try going into multiplayer it just ends up doing the infinite load screen.

I followed everything in this guide to a T which is why I'm even able to get onto single player, but even when loading from gecko and neogamma it still wont load the multiplayer screen.

Just because you can load single player doesn't mean you can load multiplayer. You can't think of it that way. Are you loading with a a retail disc or a from USB hard drive? What cIOS are you loading with? We need details.

I am using the retail disk. I have cios 250 ver 57. I already tried it with 224 and multiplayer wouldnt load with that either.

Are we just not able to play multiplayer with hardmod Wii's or will I have to download something special in order to play? I can run syscheck and paste the results here if that would help diagnose the issue.

Try using base 58 instead of 57. I am not positive if this will help but give it a whirl.

Where can I find this exactly? All of my cIOS's go up to 57 and then one jumps to 60.
Sorry if I'm a bit slow, I'm only an amateur modder...

Edit: Sorry for double post, dont know how to edit*. which IOS am I supposed to be running? Maybe I am using the right wad but the ios isnt compatible?

*Note from SNES_Master: There should be an "edit button" just bellow the post

Go here to get the up to date cIOS pack. It's linked about halfway down the page (Thanks cjizzle!) Just above or below that post, there is a link to the d2x cIOS installer. Use that to install the new cIOS pack. Install them all and you should be up to date.

*There is an "Edit Post" button to the left of the reply button when you're signed in.

Here's a new one: We got the retail version of Black Ops for Wii. When my son tried going to multiplayer, it wanted to install the patch so I canceled it since I copied all of my Wii Shop stuff to my Wii U and did not (and don't want to) create a new Wii Shop profile on that Wii.

So we put the disk into the Wii U, launched it into Wii Mode, went into Wii Shop to make sure it's still good, and then loaded the game and went into multiplayer. We got the "spinning circle" in trying to connect online to download the update, but we never got that far.

To summarize: Virgin Wii U in Wii Mode, with the Wii Disk. Should be completely legit. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, is there a separate Shop Channel User Agreement that you must agree to for the Wii U even though it's copied over from the Wii?
