    About Wii's internal memory.

These may be stupid questions but I'd like to know. When I replace my Wiis disc drive (sadly it seems I need to do that) it won't affect my system memory with all my game saves and everything will it? I backed them all up to a DVD anyway but it'll be a hassle to copy them back (assuming I can or would have to). And secondly, is it possible to upgrade the 512mb to something bigger? Say, 2gb?

Just do a NAND backup(on a SD)and be careful when replacing or leave it to someone.

I already go my NAND backup, first thing I did after hacking lol. But to clarify, would installing a new disc drive affect the flash memory?
I can't find any clear info on if the memory is located inside the disc drive or somewhere else in the system.

No - swapping dvd drive will not affect your NAND. It's mostly impossible to upgrade 512mb NAND to something bigger. Maybe if you will be ale to resolid memory chip with motherboard but i guess it's to hard to do without having yuour own motherboard factory
If you want to have big nand try to use virtual nand on sd or usb (sneek or uneek).

I'm not even bold enough to try upgrading the memory lol, I was just curios cause I've read the disc drive can be replaced with HDD (which is pretty cool if you don't intend on using your retail games at all anymore).
