    Swiiss question!

    Do i neeeeed a sd gecko or ide hard drive? cant find them anywhere. or can I use sd card and external hdd via usb?

    Yes you need one. The SD card slot and USB ports are not active when playing a Gamecube game. If you can't find an SD Gecko/WiiKey adapter to buy (which I find unlikely), you can make your own fairly easily.

    how do i make my own to make gc games run off usb hdd?

    You can not run GC games off a hdd. You need Swiss with Wii Key sd card reader, otherwise use your GC disc. This is the one I use http://www.priceangels.com/Wiikey-SD...le-s73131.html

    thanks ive been looking into all this, I dont like how the sd card is limited to space, I ve been looking at mod chips which is the best one and with most features? anyone? thanks

    yeah ive been looking around wode is cool and all but looks a bit bulky and expensive,, that sundriver looks like a nice treat
    i dont know what disc drive I have tho I think the current wii im modding is lu75 model but those sun drives can only boot from internal hdd right? not from usb hdd?

    I don't see that as being an issue as GC games are pretty small. A 32GiB SDCH card would hold quite a few games and give you good preformance.

    Yes. You could possibly wire it up outside the Wii, but that would be a lot of work.
