Yes you need one. The SD card slot and USB ports are not active when playing a Gamecube game. If you can't find an SD Gecko/WiiKey adapter to buy (which I find unlikely), you can make your own fairly easily.

yeah ive been looking around wode is cool and all but looks a bit bulky and expensive,, that sundriver looks like a nice treat
i dont know what disc drive I have tho I think the current wii im modding is lu75 model but those sun drives can only boot from internal hdd right? not from usb hdd?
I don't see that as being an issue as GC games are pretty small. A 32GiB SDCH card would hold quite a few games and give you good preformance.Quote:
