AFAIK you can't play GC games with anything BUT a GC controller, therefore it can't do it. So yeah, they are definitely different.
I'm floored. Thanks for the info. Why in the world would they take away GC support?

with only 512MB internal memory? How big is the average GC Game? Don't see how they could work that, but could be wrong since I've never owned or messed with a GC.

Missed the Wii U part of your post. I think I recall it having an insanely small hdd as well though

Well HOPEFULLY they get the external storage media thing under control. Either better support for the SD cards, or a larger hard-drive inside, something at least on-par with what Microsoft and Sony are putting in their consoles.

Okay, gonna hijack my own thread here, but this one is getting replies and the one where I asked this question isn't. Is there a way to play games from the SD card? I've found out how to rip them straight to the SD card, so I've got that covered, but now I want to be able to run the ISO image straight from the card. (Got a 32 gigger on Black Friday)

You can play them via neogamma(but it might not read the 32gb SD) (last time I checked) but I would invest in a hdd that's the way to go!

Well, as a matter of fact, I did have an old laptop I forgot about sitting in a closet, yanked the 160GB HDD it had and stuck it in an enclosure. WAY more than I will EVER need but.. there ya go! haha. I've ripped all my Wii games (all three of them, ha!) and my small collection of PSX rips (I only ever had a few PSX games, FFIX, GT2, Spyro) that I had on my PC, and I've still got well over 95% free space on that thing, haha. Be more later but Christmas is only a few weeks away and people are already asking me about Wii games so, I'm gonna hold off until after Christmas and see what I get :P

Why don't you post in the guide you are following. It would help.
