    Mic not detected

I did some research and it seems many people have spoken about this issue with a Wii that has been soft mod. Pretty much the same answer comes up: Install/Load Hermes v4 with 222 and 223. This brings me to a few questions/concerns. First, do I already have this with the soft mod I had done? I ask because when I go to the homebrew channel and choose USB Configurable channel it says "Hermes cIOS 222/223 is supported" Below that is a LOAD button I can press. When I press it though my Wii runs an error message and then goes black. I cannot restart the Wii without unplugging the Wii and plugging it back in.
