Running backups from external DVD drive

Hey guys, used the great guides on here to softmod my 4.3U Red Wii, and install Homebrew.

However I can't play backups since the drive can't read them.
I don't have cash for a HDD atm, but I do have empty DVDs and an external USB DVD drive that came with a netbook.

Isn't there any way to run burnt backups from an external DVD drive so I can switch to these before my younger brother ruins more disks lol.

I have read that uLoader can do this, but I can't use that since the pointer is a middle finger and my brother is only 5 so my parents will have a fit.

Are there any other options to do this, or to change the cursor in uLoader.
I have run a game off a flash disk using Configurable USB loader, but I am not sure if this supports the external DVD drive.

Thanks alot guys, keep up the good work

I just tried pressing all the buttons on the controller and pressing the up button changed the controller.

One quick question, I have found a Uloader guide here but it does not tell me how I can have uloader as a channel on the main menu so we can jump straight into it.
Could you explain how to do that, and how to make uloader use the external drive

    Thanks
