Updating my CIOS.IOS and making sure Wii can play all the latest games.

Hi All...I am going to be buying some new games for my kiddies and loading them via USB Loader GX.

I have read most of the update guides and am still wondering if it is actually needed. I am activelly learning and have spent the last 2 days reading some excellent post but now I feel it is time to ask for a bit of help. I understand some of my CIOS are not current and am quite adept at using bootmii, mmm and wad managers. I have done a nand backup and an sd backup. My question is what do I need to update without bricking my pride and joy.

I have included my syscheck report

    Spoiler

    Please help!!!!

Like I mentioned in your other post, 249 is really all I see. If you are using a wbfs formatted hdd then that rev will work but it wouldn't hurt to go to the d2xv6 rev for 249 (again, like I said in your other thread).

    Thankyou skellinator

I fully understanded what you are saying and that you advised that would be the update in my last post. After doing further research, What I want to know is if I can simply update the wads without bricking my wii?

We call PIMP MY WII - BRICK MY WII --- If used in the wrong hand this app can cause major issues... Updating all your IOS and cIOS is much safer done manually... there are cIOS packs and IOS packs available across the forum for this.
