Firmware Version Question: Which custom theme should i install?

This is probably an extremely stupid question, but I've come too far not to ask it and regret it later. I recently modded my wii following the noob-proof "Mod any wii" tutorial posted by manuifrog. After everything was finished I noticed that the firmware version changed from 4.3U to 4.1U. At first this didn't bother me, but now I'm thinking about modding the theme to the wii menu with "darkwii red mod". I read that the mod is version specific and if you install the wrong one you can brick your wii. My question is: should I follow the steps for the 4.1 version or for some strange reason do it for the 4.3 version. Like I said, it probably sounds really obvious but I've done A LOT of work, and I don't want to risk it unless I'm fully prepared. It's a miracle I've been able to make it this far...

follow the instruction for the system menu that your wii is currently on. I hope you have read all of the warnings regarding what you are about to do.

but the chances of bricking my wii are slim right?..I mean, I am using a mod that seems to be pretty legit and the steps seem easy enough...i was able to follow the guide to softmod my wii, with no problems

in the past theme bricks occurred often.. here and there now but not sure if it's cause we started warning people about it and less users have done it.. but if its FW specific then use what is recommended... winging it will brick you for sure!

also... the Any wii guide was written by the wii guru! lol

It's your wii, you have to decide how much risk you are willing to take. If you do not have bootmii as boot2 then you are risking a full brick if something goes wrong. I hope you have found the guide on here for instructions, and if you have then you should be well aware of the big red letters that tell you NOT to attempt if you do not have boot2.
