very good to know then. Latest gx ("unofficial" build) seems okay, but I haven't put the other through their paces yet. Gonna take a good look at wiiflow today now that Christmas shopping is finally completed!
thanks for the help Cile - I will definitely post back on this one.
got to admit, I'm feeling a bit unimpressed by wiiflow. Using the latest release candidate and it seems extremely slow compared to gx or even cfg. The interface seems a bit clunky to me and not very intuitive. Looking around for configuration options and I'm sure I'm missing them, but I can't even find where you tell it what directory to download covers and such to. None of that says anything for the two freeze ups (in less than an hour of running around in it).
Sad to say I'm just not that impressed.
For the record...yes you can load the Mii Channel from GX!
You go to the homebrew icon, then you select the icon that says "Wii" on it. From there, you will be able to launch any installed channel, even the wii settings.
I TRULY hope that development in ernest resumes for GX. After spending several days messing with several other loaders, it's still my favorite.
