Backup copies not read after installing cios 222 v4

Too bad, yesterday all was fine, nice Hawx2 and the like. Today no more.

I have a wiikey2 as well, i tried running cios 222 v4, becuase of some errors I got earlier when trying to mount a USB HDD. I shouldn't have done so:/

    Is this a known issue?

    Wii 4.3e.

When inserting a dvd backup, it says "updating system software".

If all else (read: help from here;-)) fails, can i put the nand file back with bootmii (as ios) and re-install what was there since i last backed it up?

What a waste of a day:-(

Once again, someone who fails to heed tutorial's advice (Priiloader) and updated their system, killing their cIOS. The daily fails on this are not yours alone. Time to re-softmod...

I did not update to 4.3e just now, everything ran great untill i installed "install Hermes cIOS v4.rar".
If you're sure that killed my IOS, i have no problem setting it back to the backed up nand file. Live and learn. I though it might be possible to rollback/overwrite the 222 install with something that works. Tried re-installing "IOS236 Installer v3" and "cIOS38Rev17 Installer", to no avail.

Any last comments on what I should do best?

yes yoru ios 36 isnt trucha signed but you do have ios 236 which is a copy of trucha signed 36.

If you want to fakesign ios 36 follow this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/general-home...s36-guide.html

And that would be the reason DVD Copies are no longer read by Wiikey2?

Ok, we might be getting somewhere ... 1 DVD worked again. Others do not (the newer ones).

I've followed the tip by narse. Option 2.

Should we do any of the other options there as well? Might be nice if my kid can play Hawx2 again without me getting the original from my room for him to scratch;-)

Ugh, maybe if i keep posting my own results here i might get somewhere some time.... still doesn't work like yesterday ;-)

    solved

Figured I'd post the fix in case others are having the same issues ;-)

I re-ran the firmware (1.3) for my Wiikey II and all was fine and dandy again.

(Usbloader freakin' rules. What a sweet way of selecting games!)

Thanks for the help, or attempt at it:-)
