    Problems Updating Soft modded Wii

    Hi

My Wii is 4.1E. I soft modded it about a year ago.
I was have problems getting Just dance 2 to work. I was using the soft mod update guide by JUNKMAIL and SHADOWSONIC2.

My problem is while installing CIOS249[38]rev17, i think i got impatience. The wad installed fine, but when it said install complete restarting Wii i waited for a few minutes and it didn't auto restart so i manually restarted the wii.

Now when in the menus for wad manager etc the wii remote has stopped working. it just turns itself off. Has anyone come across this?

Any help would be greatly appricated, kids are start to moan. lol

the remotes are ok in normal wii menus, but when in the cios menu or wad manager they stop working. Really strange.

which ios are you using to install the wad(in wad manager)....it should be ios36 or as you previously had cios it should auto-select ios249

i was using 249 with iso38 on network install but wouldn't init network even though internet ok. so i rename cios249rev 17 to iso38-64-v3867.wad and put it on root of sd card. It installed ok. but i manually reset the wii. now remotes not working in homebrew apps. I have tried running system check on all ios but frezzes near the end. I only have a little bit of hair left now lol

thats not what your supposed to do..... put the rev17.wad in wad folder on sd...you load up homebrew channel then wad manager use ios36 you select sd and install the 249[38]rev17.wad

    SD:\apps\wad manager\boot.dol

on which ios did it freeze when you did the syscheck
