I didn't know original Wii discs featured rar files, nor is that a Rar extractor that I'm familiar with (thinking on the PC side of things).

Nononononononono, I extracted the ISO out of RARs, meaning I got the Guitar Hero 3 Iso (that you burn onto disc).

Oh I have bought the game before, but I needed a backup when it got scratched. Just there are some songs that really blow.

This thread has been dead for over a year, but as I know the answer to the OP and others have likely run into it, I figured I could answer.

The bad image format error is caused by the exe(s) from this tool being compiled as AnyCPU, meaning they will run in 32 or 64bit mode depending on the the version of windows. You likely have 64bit. At least one of the DLL's, is compiled strictly in 32bit mode, so they don't work together. You can modify an exe/dll to force it to run in 32bit mode. The only way I know of to do this, is with the corflags.exe tool from the .NET SDK.

Download Download: Windows SDK for Windows Server 2008 and .NET Framework version 3.5 - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details
When installing, deselect everything and select only .NET Development Tools.
After it installs, corflags.exe will be at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.1\Bin

It will not be in your path so to use it, open a command prompt, go to the folder containing TheGhost.exe and run

    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.1\Bin\corflags.exe" TheGhost.exe /32bit+

Repeat for each exe & dll in the folder, a few dll's will show an error, that's fine.
