    you don`t need the HDD, if you install neogamma you will be able to play those games, if you patch your ios and cIOS

    You can do as Krafter says. You can use it to watch movies, play homebrew games, etc.

    But if you really want your wii to virgin state, search the guide a gave you.

    You can load your backup games from USB memory stick, no need for a USB HDD. What's so bad about a UBS HDD anyways?

    Lets see, I paid $38 for a 320GB usb hdd, what's a new game cost anyways, $30-50?

    Updates? that only disables homebrew. My Wii is at 3.2, and never needs updating.
