    Question How to safely update to 4.3!!!!

    I feel like a total newby asking, but how do I go about safely updating to 4.3. I am on 4.2u right now running USB GX, Neogamma R8, Rev 17 IOS249. I have softmodded several Wiis, and I have been away from the seen for a while, so any help or suggestions would be great.

    Can it be done?

    I understand no one thinks it should be done. But the question is can it be done? I want to use Wi-Fi and other channels that I didn't install prior to the 4.3u update. Now I can't install them without first updating. So, I want to SAFELY update to 4.3 without causing HomeBrew problems or necessitating re-installation of HomeBrew and all the other stuff.

    I'd say from that statement you're a little unclear on how operations work in the console - system menu has no bearing on any other channels and more especially no effect on wifi, unless you've done something to mess it up. If you decide to ignore the warnings given to toby1978 so be it. Follow the 4.3 guide.

    Making an intro post is also recommended.

    1. First-time posters are asked in site rules to make a quick "hello" post in the Introductions Section of the site;
    2. Your post is contrary (updating to 4.3 --- which yes, goes against every warning on our softmod guides --- yet you say you've already installed the 4.3u update).
    3. Understanding is key; you'll get essential beginner links in the Introductions section, plus a search tutorial to aid you.
