What is the best way to keep everything updated?

Having recently finished softmodding my wii, I noticed that a lot of the tutorials on this site and many others link to or have references to out of date installers for cIOS's, apps, etc. (Not that I'm complaining. Top notch tutorials.)

I'm just wondering, what is the best way to try to keep all of your apps/homebrew up to date without having to scour the darkest corners of the internet trying to find the newest versions? Is there a thread I missed that has links to all of the newest versions of cIOS installers/ homebrew apps? If not, could someone start one?

Don't know if you know about the NUS Downloader already.

If you followed one of our Recommended Guides for softmodding, they are regularly maintained (with the exception of Messie's 4.2 guide relating to Neo Gamma; Dogeggs and Shadows are currently maintained). cIOS 249 Rev 17 is what is recommended. You could download the Homebrew Browser off wiibrew.org for other things non-hack related.

Well, he technically stated cIOS but even so that's excellent advice.

Its not always the best to update everything. Usually its better if you update any issues as you come to them then search the softmod FAQs section and of course this section. Then look at the whole thread of each update to be positive it is the best update option for your needs. "If its not broke dont fix it". This will ensure you take your time with all the updates and enjoy your wii mods safely.

Sorry if this is a total n00b question, but what exactly do you mean by get the home page for you[r] loader?
And checking in on the site is becoming a more regular thing now. Thanks for the tips. I guess I'll just sort of let everything keep working, until something breaks on me, then look for an update.
I just like to get the newest versions of things so that I don't miss out on any cool new features or anything.
