    blocking online updates

I am a newbie to the Wii and have managed to modify my Wii 4.2 using Gaf's Wii modding tutorial.
However, I am unsure how to block online updates when I connect the Wii to the internet.
    Thanks for any replies.

That's why you should have followed one of OUR tutorials. We do not support other guides here. I see that you didn't make an intro post so here you go. We have a few threads on Priiloader installation and it is included in ALL of our softmod guides.

Thanks Krank, I only discovered this forum today,
So am I correct in thinking I have to use Priiloader?
I looked at Priiloader and it states:

IT IS _HIGHLY_ RECOMMENDED TO INSTALL PRELOADER ONLY ON A WII WITH UNMODIFIED IOSs!!

I think I have already modified my IOS'S by hacking but I am not sur.e
    I am now more confused!

    Not so sure myself.

I have seen that 4.3 firmware has been released message from my WII, and I thought just ignore it will do right ?

Am I right to say WII will not just install the new firmware without my knowledge?

Install priiloader, too many post out there about kids and others updating their system, why risk it, its not harmfull and it will BLOCK any attempt to update!

    Thanks for your recommendation

No kids yet, has a very smart but not so tech. savvy wife, so not so worry at the moment. haha.

but, guess I will install Priiloader since most of you say so.

The 4.2 hacking guide I have followed (from wiihacks.com of course) put priiloader as "optional", so I didn't install initially.

These sound like questions, not ideas. The OP's question was answered, as was yours. Thread closed.
