WBFS manager won't let me clone my usb hd, why?

I modified my 4.2u wii with this tutorial:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html

It worked perfectly so I modded my cousins 4.2u system as well. When I went to copy my 500gb WD passport drive, to her drive (same exact one) the computer would only recognize one at a time. I had to copy all files from my external to my main hard drive, then back to her hard drive. I'm getting ready to mod another 4.2u and would prefer to clone my drive because I no longer have the hard drive space.

Any idea why the computer only sees one at a time?

Ok, my mistake, in the WBFS manager I didn't see the little "drive to drive" option in the bottom left corner. I thought if you had both drives connected the "clone drive" option would light up. Oh well, maybe this will help someone else in the future, but thanks!

    Thumbs up

    Hi People,
just thought I'd share my experience on backing my wii 320Gb USB drive up.
90% of my game were ripped with rawdump and then added to the drive with WBFS manager, which works with wii great. If I do a drive to drive clone using WBFS, this will clone 90% all game perfectly (these are games added to the drive by WBFS). But I have about 10% of games that won't clone using WBFS, I realised these are the games added to the drive using USB LoaderGX. WBFS won’t clone these games and just ignores them and moves to the next.
So in order to make a complete BackUp I used the EXTRACT ISO option in WBFS to back up all my games as indervidual ISO file,,,but for complete Dive to Dive cloneing ya will need to use wii BackUp Manager.. .

@airush - WBFS Manager should and does have the ability to manage those files installed using USB Loader GX. That problem is related to USB Loader GX's configuration file. Deleting the USB Loader GX config file and allowing it to be recreated on the bootup of the loader application usually fixes the file management glitch/corruption.

Also USB Loader GX rev 929 to 935 seems to have various bugs including file management associated with installing the games from disc via USB Loader GX.

    Hi Airush
Thanks for your steps. So just wanted to confirm that if I wanted to make a exact clone of my HDD with 425 games I just use the WBFS application. What steps would i do to clone the drive

    Help is appreciated.

If you installed USB Loader GX as a channel wad, then use Wad Manager to delete it. If you are running USB Loader GX from the SD card, the boot.dol resides inside the USB Loader GX folder located inside the Apps folder.
