I meant the pack from the softmod guide that you download and run

anyway, here's a link to it (cIOS Installer 38r17 download on FileTrip.net - FileTrip)

Copy the cios38 rev 17 folder(its in the one called apps) to your apps folder on your sd card, copy the wad IOS38-64-v3867.wad to the root of your sd
put the sd back in your wii
Open homebrew and run the cios38 rev17 installer and do the wad install
Alright. All was fine till custom came up and I got a ret error.

you need to install with a patched ios
if you followed the guide correctly, ios36 should be patched

    Hi,

I have a problem. I need WAD Manager 1.7 so I can install the IOS53 v5406 and play Red Steel 2. So I downloaded it and got it in the "apps" folder of my SD card and renamed it to "boot.dol" but HBC doesn't detect it. I turned it on and off a couple of times and still it doesn't show up on HBC.

Sorry for bumping the thread, but I have a quick question about this. Why does my Wii remote stop working on the page after I select the IOS to use? I choose IOS249 like what it recommends on the first post, but as soon as I get to the next page, my wii remote stops working. Can someone please help me with this?

it should come back on if you don't touch any buttons
I guess that's just how it is (maybe so you'll read what's on the screen?)

I would guess that when you select the IOS you want to use, that IOS gets (re)loaded and for some reason it disconnects the Wiimote, I wouldn't worry about it as there are a lot of homebrew apps that do that. Just press a button on the Wiimote and it will reconnect.

Thanks for trying to help, but neither of your suggestions worked for me. My wii remote won't turn back on on the third page. Is there any other advice you can offer?
