Wii motion plus problems (not correctly following movements + slow calibration)

Hello everyone,

I was playing wii sports resort with the wii of a friend of mine and I liked it, so I got myself a wii motion plus and sports resort. However, when I was playing the game, I noticed it didn't correctly follow my motions (especially with swordplay) and recalibrating it takes up to 10 minutes some times.

Thinking it might be the wii motion plus itself, I tested it with my friends wii, but it worked just fine.

How can it be that my wii cannot correctly follow my movements and why does it take so long to recalibrate? Is there a way to fix it and if so, how?

Some technical info:
cIOSX rev19 (base IOS 38)
bootmii/boot2
USB loader GX (latest stable version, rev874)
System menu: 3.3E

When you start the game do you place it as is recommended on a flat level surface?

That's strange because I have the same problem when playing WSR through wiiflow,
but when I play WSR through gx the motion plus works perfect. Work that one out!:confused:

Yes, I did place it on a flat surface. I checked some other games (like frisbee) and they work fine. It's just swordplay which is giving problems.

That is strange. I will try some other USB loaders to see if it makes any difference.

try doing this throu the wii flow first click on the game you want so it brings it forward click on the settings change main.dol to player.dol go back play the game this will take you to a page that sais connecting wii motion plus click on this and watch the film
important to watch the whole film once this is over click return to game then click ok then go back into wii flow click back on the game to bring it forward then go back into settings re change player.dol back to main.dol click back and then play the game
once you have done this it will work for it every time but you have to do the same for every game that uses motion plus hope if this has helped you please let me know follow all steps correctly

Watching the movie wont effect the way the game is played. This step is only required to get the game to load the first time.


Do you have an official motion plus or an after market one? And how about the wiimote itself? When you tested it on a friends wii did you test the your wiimote with your motion plus or just the motion plus?

It is an offical motion plus. I'll try testing it with another wiimote, thank you for the suggestion.
