WBFS manager wil not see my drive anymore, it chucks up some error about it being in use etc etc..(its not in use)I know the ins and outs of setting up so my problem is not there...i have had it set up fine, games play fine from it off the wii and i was able to access via WBFS manager last time i used it ...i need to back the games up to my new nas server but WBFS will not see it anymore..i have tried all the other alternatives..none of them see it...how can i retrieve the iso files off it ??
I'd try using using an anlternate wbfs prog i use Wii Game Manager you can get it here

Surely there is an answer for this problem....i have read loads of threads and tried loads of different standalone managers..none of them will see my wbfs partition, i can assign and unassign a drive letter for it without problem...the wii will play games from it so it must still be working...how can i get the games from the drive to my nas server...i dont want to format this untill i have them safe ?
i just checked, you can use ftpii to get the games off, or i can off mine but my usb is FAT32, download it from Downloads - ftpii - Project Hosting on Google Code
from here you can add and remove to your sd or usb
i use Filezilla to access the wii via FTP FileZilla - Client Download
all you need to do is load ftpii in HBC it'll tell you what the wii's ip address is then connect using Filezilla or whatever ftp program you use, keep ftpii open whilst you transfer, and you're good to go, good luck
Is that to say you have a fat32 partition AND a wbfs partition ? thats how i am setup and have never had any bother...i installed ftpii and it sees and mounts the usb drive but from what i can work out it is only mounting and seeing the fat32 partition and not the wbfs partition where all the games are...
no i only have a FAT32 partition, i had nightmares using WBFS where games would corrupt on me all the time when adding new ones, i switched to FAT32 and have had no probs whatsoever, one of the plus sides is that my O/S can see the drive without 3rd party software so can just drag and drop to and from the drive. wii game manager splits my games into FAT32 friendly pieces so dont have an issue with >4Gb filesQuote:

i use usb loader gx, not sure about wiiflow, i did boot wiiflow once to check and it didnt see my drive but i didnt do anything else like check that the settings were correct so it may work, but GX works great you just create your FAT32 partition place a folder named "wbfs" on it and load your .wbfs files there.
ill check wiiflow and see if it works
dont think wiiflow sees FAT32 theres no option in the settings to choose and get an error saying failed to find wbfs partition or something like that
i just read on the wiiflow google project page that FAT32 support has been added, may be that i have no games in the root of my drive that i get errors, as they are in my wbfs folder
