okay SUCCESS on getting my GC's back working again i REinstalled cMIOS rev 3 then after that i tried booting it it did the "fallback to boot recovery screen" (NOT BOOT2 my previous problem)its that screen that allways appears RIGHT BEFORE it boots the backup. so i knew i was getting close.. so right after that i REinstalled the MIOS PATCHER patch V-8(not 10) and and boom worked just like normal.
Oh yes and i forgot to say When i used "pimp my wii" for assistment. DO NOT LET THEM INSTALL cIOS's or things like Hermes or MIOS. i just used that to update all my ios's. You want to do that stuff youself(MERGING).. which leaves me to this VERY important question i kinda need answered please.. when using the pimp my wii it asked to give the trucha bug to alot of my ios's . Ive already have the trucha bug fix when i first softmodded but figured it was probably outdated. so gave the trucha bug to everything it recommended. it gave it to alot of the ios's that were under 200 so im wandering if thats good or did i make a horrible mistake? everything is working good though. sorry to sorta post this here but the PMW thread seemed kinda dead and outdated. well i hope this helped some people. now you gotta help me out lol
also with all these new updates what exactly should i expect from the WAD manager? i hear people sayin we have to start using IOS 38 to install things nowand ive heard of people still using 249.. so im a little confused.. i havent tried installing anything using WAD manager since the switch to Hermes V-5 and cIOS installer rev19 yet so i dont know what to expect?and if yes to using 38. is their things i need to go back and reinstall using 38 instead of 249? your response will be much loved
From your favorite paragraph poster -nash6989
exactly what is an emulated nand??
and also how do i remove the trucha from certain ios's and which ones would u recommend me doing(one's below 200?) and thank you for replying baboo.. -nash6989
Only Site Donators Can PM Staff
Type TriForce or SNEEK into live search and check one or the other (heck, both) out and it fleshes out what it is and can be used for. Removing trucha from IOS really isn't necessary (so far, this only had to be done on a Cricket game from this year in order for it to run). Any other time the fact your IOS have enabled Trucha is a non-issue.
