ensure that your wii has internet access setup first. Once you've done this go into gx loader and push the number 1 on your wiimote. From here you can download your covers and other things automagically. If you still have issues with the 1 key not doing anything you need to remove parental controls int he gx loader settings.
Remember to click the Thanks on the post if I've been helpful.

    System Menu 4.1E | GX-Loader rev938
    Bootmii/Boot2 | Priiloader 0.4
    cIOSx rev19, base ios37 | Hermes v5 (202 ios60/222 ios38)

I don't think there is a guide but all you have to do is make a folder on your SD card called "images" or anything you want really and put your game covers in there. Then in USB loader gx go to "options" and then click "custom paths" and set the covers path to the folder on your SD card where you stored your covers.

You can make seperate folders for the 3d covers, 2d covers, and disk art and then use "custom paths" to point to the folders you have saved or copied your covers/diskart.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Not sure if you have gotten this issue with the covers resolved or not..so:

Have the folder "images" in the root of the SD card
you can have subfolders under images for (3d/disc/full)

    examples:
    SD:/images/xxxxxx.png
    SD:/images/3d/xxxxxx.png
    SD:/images/disc/xxxxxx.png
    SD:/images/full/xxxxxx.png
