Wii Menu themes
been looking around, can't find any info on how to put my wii menu back to normal theme after instaling a custom theme.
I know i can put it back by restoring my nand, but i want a link to a site that hosts the original theme file so that i can switch back and forth any time.
don't know if i posted this in the right section, so sorry if it's not in the right place.
also, my wii menu is 4.2U.

You know the app you used to convert the mym to csm to use with mymenuify. You can just installed that with mymenuify to get your original menu back.
-
Just re-install your System IOS and System Menu using wad manager, simple.
It'd be so funny if you brick though, messing with themes is so risky.
Actually, I will see you in the Bricked Issues forum, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon...

i've got bootmii installed, so if i brick, i can restore...done it once already, actually.
baboo77, i downloaded an mym file (darkwii theme), and mymenuify recognized it, and would have installed it fine, i just chose to wait.
how would i get my original theme back through that?

Trust me on this one, I got quite a bit of experience with themes, you need to convert the mym to csm with mymenu or thememii(this one is better) using your system menu app. If not you will brick!! Read this and this and this before you go any further. Like tealc said, you can either install systemios wad with wadmanager or install your system menu app with mymenuity.

I'm paying careful attention to the first link you sent. following it to the letter, so as not to screw up.
the app file it provides a link to...could i install just that as a theme? if it's what i think it is, than i think it's what i was looking for.

Yes 00000087.app is the system menu for 4.2u. Take a look at the third link I posted. It talks about thememii which is better than mymenu cause it has some failsafes in it to reduce human error.
-
i don't see how there's much room for human error in the 1st one...first of all, it's very simple...2nd, each of the options to browse limit you to choosing the right kind of file, and they don't even let you change to "all files" mode, which most browse buttons do.
anyways. thanks for the info. i didn't seem to be able to find that anywhere else...maybe i wasn't looking hard enough. lol.
kinda' new to this forum, so i don't know if i'm supposed to say that this forum can be closed, or if you even bother with closing them. either way...

just install the default theme as u would with the others
-
i knew to do that...i just couldn't find the file for the original theme.
but baboo77 directed my attention to a crucial mistake i was going to make, and i corrected it.
