Ok I bricked my wii last week. and sent it to a guy I found on another site to flash my nand.the wii works great and was back quick.but he installed a custom theme. I need to know how can I get it back to the original. and where can I find the file needed to install. Also the health screen is being by passed. But I'm sure that is done with preloader. Will the health screen need to be turned back on first. THANKS FOR ANY HELP

You can erase the theme from you SD card if you have one in there then it will go back to the default theme if it doesn't see it anymore.

Ok I pulled out the sd card and my usb hdd. And the system menu didn't change back . Do I need to download the 4.1U as a wad file to install it if so where can I find one that is reliable. I just don't want to brick my wii again.

You need to put your SD card in you computer and open up the folder which has the images, and then delete them out of the folder, then put back you SD card in the Wii and it will be gone.

If this is a wii menu theme then it isn't just a case of deleting images.

I believe a clean menu will have to be installed.

If the custom path for the theme can not see the images on the SD card it will just display the regular theme and that is what he is looking for I believe.

Ok I took the sd card out and unpluged my usb hdd. then I turned the wii on and the custom 4.1U menu is the same. I want to get it back to a clean system menu. The custom theme had to be installed correct or am I wrong thinking thiis. Its just that I have seen a lot of treads saying don't use custom themes for the sys menu. It could cause a brick.

I use a program called my mymenuify. If you want your original system theme back, someone essentially had to have made it. You cannot just delete the theme images off your card, even if you did, this wouldn't impact it at all. When you change the system menu theme, the files are written to your NAND. If you go here:

Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire

You can download the theme packs, I know for a fact that inside the 40 pack of NTSC themes, there is an orginal theme.

    You can get mymenuify here:

    mymenuifygui.zip

Good luck. Make sure you use an NTSC theme if you have an NTSC system and a PAL theme in PAL system, this will brick your Wii otherwise.

Also, you should probably back up your NAND now using BootMii. This will prevent the need to send your system somewhere else to get it fixed, you can just restore you NAND yourself. Let me know how it works out.
