Use Wii HDD as a SD card storage

I would like my Wii HDD to be reading as a SD card.
    Should I do partition as:

X gb as NTFS for the computer, X gb as FAT for my SD card and the rest as for Wii backup game?

    Sorry for your time...Newbie question

You can have three Partitions, but i would only partition is for the wii backups and then fat32 for files and wiiware/vc games..

Only have 2 Partitions... make sure that the wii-WBFS partition is the one that is active and primary or your wii-backups will not work through the loader..

    So you talling me.

wii-WBFS partition as a primary partition.
    FAT32 as a secondary partition.

The Fat32 will reconisezed as SD card? For my HBC and emulation

in theory and a perfect world yes... lol

Format with those specs and you should be fine... and you have to set HBC to load from usb not sd... or i think the new version auto looks for an apps folder either on the sd or hdd... i have read that it is easier to use the hdd for wii backups and wiiware/vc and not for HBC... so just leave your sd for the HBC and use the hdd for everything else..
