I see you don't have a "bootmii" folder. Run the installer once again and install BootMii as boot2 if you can. Otherwise install it as IOS.
hello i removed the bootmii folder along with the nand.bin
I was told to do this on here on another post but i still have them but they are on my computer hdd so should i put them back

my wii is working after the softmod with neogamma just now with dvd-r backups
I have got a hdd and it works with the wii and neogamma

First off back up your card to the computer. Then if you screw something up you have a back up.

Im sure Someone Will corect me if I am wrong here but as far as what you can get rid of off of your card:

Whatever apps you want showing up in your homebrew channel leave in the apps folder.
If you dont want them showing up just delete them off. You already have them backed up to your computer if at a later date you want to put them back on you can.

If you have anything in your wads folder that you already installed and no longer need it remove it. They too are backed up to your computer so you dont need them on your card. If you need to uninstall them later just put them back on the card.

I beleive the private folder is just a backup of a game save. Since it is already backed up just delete it. But if your worried leave it. It doesnt matter.

All of the IOS files in the root (both IOS15, IOS36 and IOS38) should have been installed durring the hacking process. If so get rid of them.

The hacks.INI file is for priiloader. It is the file Priiloader reads to install hacks to your wii. I believe once the hacks have been activated they are written into the nand and you only need this file if you want to activate or deactivate a hack. Its so small just leave it.

Keys.bin was made when your nand was backed up by bootmii I beleive. Just put it with the backup of that.

Not sure what the boot.elf is for, but I am guessing it was either from the hack or it is for getting into bootmii wich you have already removed from the card. Either way you can delete it.

The installer.txt file is what I believe to be a Log file from the installation of maybe bootmii but not sure. But all it is is a log file you dont need it so delete it.

Now you should be left with only what you want on the card. Your wii can run without an sd card installed so anything on it is just for your benefit: IE the config files to make a program work the way you want, stuff like that. Technically you can run with just an apps folder and a wads folder and be just fine. The wads folder for your wads to install and your apps folder for homebrew channel to use. As you install programs other files and folders may be added. That is normal. For example, USBLoadeGX creates a config folder and an Images folder. If you use crazyintros you have a crazyintros folder. If you use triiforce your nand backup goes into the sd root.

All of these programs can coexist on the same card cause it just reads what it needs and ignores the rest. Some programs even use the same folder as another program.

Ok now that you have yor sd card the way you want, decide wich USBLoader you want to use. If you want to use it as a channel download a WAd file for it, put it in your wads folder and install it. Once it is installed you can get rid of the wad file. (I suggest putting it somewhere on your computer this way if you want to uninstall you have it handy)

If you want to use USBLoader as a Homebrew app accessable through the homebrew channel put the folder you download in the apps flolder. In the folder it should have a boot.dol file a XMl file, stuff like that. This cannot be taken out of the apps folder unless you no longer want it because it is the actual file that runs.

The third way to install it is as a installed file in priiloader. Then you can boot straight into the file. For that you will need the dol file and use priiloader to install it.

Once you install any of these the loader itself will add the folders you need.

I personly have all three installed. This way if I'm in homebrew channel I can acces it from there or if I'm in main menu I can access it from there and if I turn off my wii and turn it back on it will boot straight into it.

As far as taking the card out, There is no need to. Just leave it in. If you have little kids then I would take any of the apps like wad manager off the card that they can use to screw things up. But short of that the card at this point is mainly for storage of configuration files and files for homebrew channel and not really for hacking it any more. The hacks are already done. If you are usnure if a program works without the sd card Do some research on the app in question. I know I have accidently turned the wii on without an sd card a few times and never had any ill effects other than themes not working or homebrew channel is empty.

Well that was a little long winded and I could have just said delete this this and this but then you would have no idea why. This way you know what they are and know why you dont need them. Teach a man to fish... blah blah you get it.

Hope this helps. If you have any other questions ask and if I know I will tell you.
