Game disappearing after adding with WBFS Manager?

Just run across this problem the other day. I had a PAL version of Just Dance and was thinking of playing it on my NTSC Wii. I tried adding it to my WBFS drive with WBFS Manger 3.01 x64. The progress bar came up and ticked by slowly like it normally does. Took about five minutes to get half-way. Then it speeds up and finishes in two seconds, which doesn't normally happen. The normal pop-up then comes up saying "finished adding games to drive", only the game doesn't appear in the game list on the left. It just doesn't add it even though it goes through all the motions of adding it. Very strange. On top of that, I cannot add any other games or even delete games off of the WBFS drive unless I close the manager, safely remove the drive, unplug it, then plug it back in. It's like it somehow freezes the drive.

It's a Retail Plus 32 Gb Flash stick. I have ten other Wii ISO's on there that work perfectly in NeoGamma. I'm running Vista Ultimate x64. The Wii is a soft-modded 4.2U.

I've tried Wii Backup Manger as well and it does the exact same thing. It looks like it's going to add the game but it doesn't show up on the drive when it finishes adding it. I've tried with the PAL and the NTSC versions of Just Dance. I'm now going to try burning the ISO to a DVD and try that. If that works, I wonder if I can rip the game from the DVD to the USB HDD.

Anybody successfully add Just Dance to a USB HDD WBFS drive?

I have a PAL version, works fine for me. You might want to try congifurable USB loader, it launches from HBC. I switched to that a while back and havent run into a single issue yet. Also, sometimes the visibility option can get flicked, which would mean the game is on the drive but invisible...Never had it happen without making it happen though.

I was thinking it might be invisible to the WBFS managers but the game doesn't show up in NeoGamma or USB Loader Gx. The amount of used space on the drive doesn't increase either. I have no idea where the game is going and why it's taking the managers so long to do nothing?

Visibility option? I haven't really explored all the features of either manager. I just use them to simply add an ISO to the drive.

I'll try that configurable usb loader and see if it sees the game.

Tried NeoGamma, USB Loader GX, and Configurable USB Loader. None of them see the game on the HDD so it can't be there.

I tried burning the ISO to a DVD-R, however I only had three left at the bottom of the spindle. They were scratched along the outside edge. I'm guessing that powder residue you notice when you open a fresh spindle must have gotten in between the DVD's and scratched them. Anyway, I burned the ISO with ImgBurn. Verification turned up at least a couple dozen bad sectors.

The disc would load in NeoGamma. I got the wrist strap screen, a black screen, then disc error, consult operations manual. Tried installing to USB HDD with USB Loader GX and it froze at 49.36%.

Tore the house apart looking for a clean DVD and finally found one. Burned the ISO and it passed verification. NeoGamma booted it fine. The girlfriend is playing it right now. So I'm gonna try to install it to the HDD with GX again. If it doesn't work, it has to a problem with my USB HDD Flash Drive.

I do have other ISO's on the drive that are close to 4 Gb. I don't know why they transferred fine and this one won't. The different managers say it's 3.96 Gb if that has anything to do with it. That would make it the biggest ISO I've tried to transfer, but only by 160 Mb or so. I don't know, I'm stumped?

Sounds like it might just be a bad dump of the game. Grab another version and see if you have the same problems.

Run into another game that won't add to the HDD. Again it goes through the process and shows a green checkmark and says added games successfully, but doesn't show up on the drive. This game is House of the Dead Overkill.

The light on the USB Flash drive flashes when you are writing data to it. When I add game to drive, it gets to about 60% and the light stops flashing. The progress bar then zips to the end and it says it was successful. I burned this ISO to a DVD and it works fine.

So I'm still stumped. Why won't the games add to the drive but work if I burn them? This has to be a problem with either the WBFS managers or the Flash drive. I was thinking it was the drive because Just Dance was the biggest one I've tried to add. I know it can't be the problem now because I've recently added ISO's even bigger, over 4 Gb. So the problem must lie in the managers. But then why does it happen with three different managers?

I could rip the game from the DVD to the drive with USB Loader GX but we already finished the games and they're not worth the precious space on my drive. So I don't know if ripping them would work. I assume it would. We're getting a 500 Gb Seagate USB HDD next week. I can try then I guess.

Edit: Oh and I did get two versions of Just Dance, a PAL and an NTSC. Neither one would add to the drive. The other guy that replied said that his PAL version worked fine. So now it's pointing back to the Flash drive as the problem? lol

The problem is the hard drive. I had the same problem with several games lately. I just tried loading it to another hard drive and it worked without a hitch... Not sure what this is happening right now but I thought I'd share my findings with you.

I'm still confused. Over the last couple months there have been six games that won't add. I've had to burn them to a DVD. It just happened again tonight so I'm currently burning another DVD. It's weird though. I can add and remove games all day but when it comes to a select few, none of the WBFS managers will add them. The only thing I've eliminated from the possible problems is the size. I've added games of all different sizes with no problems.

My younger brother picked up an external HDD for his Wii but it wasn't compatible. We took it back and exchanged it for another one. He added three games to it and two of them worked, but they all successfully added. The third may have been a corrupted ISO from transferring or something because it works here. I'm gonna take his HDD over here and try to add the games that won't add for me to his HDD. I'll post back with the results.
