    Guitar on Wii

    Hi guys !

Im a glad owner of all the guitar hero on xbox 360 but now Van Halen just came out and im wandering if there is anyway to make my 360 guitar work on the Wii ?? ive read on the net it doesnt seems possible but ima ask the real pros over here , i know that nintendo is prolly not using the same usb driver as the 360 but maybe someone in the hacking community already tought it would be a good idea to fix this with installing something on the hacked wii to make it work !

    Thanks yall

I'm thinking you would have to hard mod the guitar to make it work with the Wii, some way to atach a Wii remote to it.

I looked into this myself as I've a wonderful little collection of these guitars built up in the closet from the ps2 and 360. I think you hit the nail on the head discussing the architecture of the chip in the guitar. The Wii guitars are designed to interface with the Wii remote and it's motion-sensing capabilities. To my knowledge there is nothing that'll allow cross-platforming, and I wouldn't put much credence in any kind of softmod allowing this capability anytime soon. It'd be nice, and I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it happening.

I forgot about tipping up the guitar to activate star power, so I guess motion does play a part in the guitar controls. But I also think you can press a button to activate star power too.

Game Stop has cheap used guitars that work really well.

    PS2 Converter

I just found this on eBay. I know this is for the PS2, but something similar may be out there for the xbox.

Playstation 2 to Wii Controller convertor, perfect for RPG games like Monster Hunter or Guitar Hero Games.

Simply plug your wii mote into the convertor and connect your ps2 controller.

This way you can use your ps2 controller wireless for Wii games

BTW, can anyone confirm that they have Guitar Hero instruments working on a softmodded Wii with USB drive? I just wanted to check before I spent the money! Thanks.
