    Help Please with IOS

    Guys

I have read Tealc's which ios games run and he has put that CSI Deadly Intent uses IOS53-64-v4113.

Now i am confused. I am on firmware 4.1 and i have the latest wii shop channel that uses ios 61. My question is should my game not work as my ios is higher from the shop channel than IOS53-64-v4113.

I tried to install IOS53-64-v4113 but got a ret error 1035, to try and load the wad i went into wad manager and seleted ios 36 to use and then selected IOS53-64-v4113 wad. I have read about the ret error but this has only confussed me more the wad that i am using isnt corrupt i can confirm this as it was from a reliable moderators post used by hundreds.

Hope im making sense help would be appriciated Thanks

What firmware is your wii? error 1035 is usually because of your firmware i believe, might have to downgrade to 3.2....

You should never change firmware to get a game running. Outdated, missing, or corrupt ios' are the usual culprits. From the Error Index:

Installation Error Most likely installed incorrect or out of date IOS.
    Q. I can't install any IOS, I keep getting an error. How do I fix this?(FIX for errors 1017, 1035,2011)
    A. You can use the Trucha Bug Restorer to patch the ios files that are essential for homebrew. Do this (does not work for 4.2)

I think a number of you don't understand what or how IOS work.

A game IOS such as IOS53 is not dependant on any firmware revision. Old IOS53 such as v4113 can be used on any firmware revision just as easily as the latest version.

Updating or downgrading firmware is NOT the key to getting any game to work, all you ever need is one IOS revision to run any one game. Any game disc will contain a suite of several IOS and a firmware update which are simply not needed to run the game it comes with.

Tealc can you explain why IOS53-64-v4113 wont load then as i want to get csi deadly intent to load and in your thread for what games use what ios this is the ios you have stated for the game. Currently the game loads and you select the mission then the wii reboots. I have all over games working fine and i have tried usb loader gx and neogammer.

    Thanks

What version IOS53 do you have installed currently.

Run signcheck signCheck - WiiBrew and post the resultant signcheck.csv if you lile.
