    CIOSCORP and DVDX help plz

Ok, I'm stumped. I installed CIOSCORP 3.5. Yay, everything is working fine except DVDX. I try the included fix, I try default, then I move on to advanced. I've tried 36 several times, 249 a couple, 35, 30, 50, 55, 202, and others to the point where I think I've hit them all. So, what I'm wondering is that perhaps I need to update one of my ios's so that the fix will work. Am I right? Or am I screwed? (don't own a DVD player anymore and started using the Wii for movies when the #$*(#)@& 360 went RROD on me ).

Please help me, I bought my wife a DVD for XMAS (yay shopping in July...)

what firmware are you on? 4.?

"Due to some people having problems with DVDX after installing cIOSCORP,
a DVDX Installer has been included in the cIOSCORP v3.5 package. Just
run the installer and select the "Advanced" install, and select the IOS
you want DVDX to run under. We have it running fine under waninkoko's
cIOS249 rev13(a). If it doesn't work for you, just install it to run
under a different IOS, until it does work. Please note that this DVDX
uses the title ID "DVDX", which System Menu 4.2x deletes on every boot.
If your Wii has System Menu 4.2x installed, you will have to disable it
from deleting it (there is a preloader hack you can use to do this)."

What exactly happens when you try to install DVDX? What errors do you get? Did you install dvdx from hackmii installer? Did it not work?

    You read this?
Due to some people having problems with DVDX after installing cIOSCORP v3.6,
a DVDX Installer has been included in the cIOSCORP v3.6 package. Just
run the installer and select the "Advanced" install, and select the IOS
you want DVDX to run under. We have it running fine under Waninkoko's
cIOS249 rev13(a). If it doesn't work for you, just install it to run

    I'm using 4.1

I'm also installing using the CIOSCORP installer. I havn't tried the hackmii one... might be worth a look. As for errors, none. It says it installs fine. Only whenever I load up Mplayer CE, it keeps saying unable to mount dvd... grrr I say. It will read DIVX dvds, but standard DVD's won't load, burned or stamped.

If it reads any dvd in mplayer, dvdx is installed.

    Ok...

So, I read a little, and thought about trying a few things.

Good news: No more error about "Error mounting DVD"

Bad news: no errors at all, just DVD clicking then nothin but backdrop (file> open> dvd) or dvd menu (dvd)

What I did was delete/reinstall ios 202. I tested it and it acted the same. So I just deleted 202. Now it just doesn't give me errors. If I go thru the DVD menu, it says it's mounting, then goes back to DVD Menu screen (Play Chapter 1... blah blah) if I select one of the items, it says "Opening stream..." then... back to the DVD Menu

So, what I have here is a file system error I think... but what kind, where is it? And how do I fix it?
