Wii 4.1U & SDHC card freezing system

I updated my system from 3.2U to 4.1U and now i can't use a SDHC card, it locks my system. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Much appreciated

What brand is it, Sandisk work the best 2gb should be recognised by your system, as from system menu 4.0 and above 2gb -32gb SD cards work.

Try another SD card if you can, or re-format it to FAT32 and try again.

The SD CARD brand is LEXAR and its a 4 gb card. I am trying to configure a friends wii and of course i am having all sorts of problems with it. I have the same LEXAR card in my wii and it works flawlessly. I just went from 3.2u to 4.1u could that be a problem? This wii was prefectly working with 3.2u with the softhack, still works but will freeze if trying to access the SD card via a channel or SD logo. Please help me, as i need to return this wii. Should i go to 4.2U? OR is it still possible to get this going?

    Thanks in advance

3.2 would have been fine, if your on 4.1 thats okay also 4.2 is a no no.

3.2 contains the trucha bug, 4.1 recognises SDHC cards (2gb to 32gb) 4.2 destroys homebrew

I have updated to 4.2 and my homebrew works fine for me. What I have found with both 4.1 & 4.2 is that homebrew does not like my cards that are over 2GB, but the wii system menu will read all the way up to 32GB with no problems.

You would have thought that it the system reads a card then the homebrew would but this is not the case.
