Upgrading my cIOS - Very confused!

    Hi Guys,

Firstly, I apreciate people may have asked this loads before. I've searched but cannot find the answer I'm looking for and I have some areas i am unsure of.

I have softmodded my Wii previously and havent had any problems.. until now. I have tried Super Mario Wii and i just get a green screen and having researched what happening I think i need to upgrade my cIOS as I am on cIOS38_rev13a at the moment and running neogamma 6. I also have Twilight Scene it and can only get 1 mii remote working. The second just flashes a lot when trying to switch on the remote.

When I soft modded I really just followed a point and click guide and this was some time back so i'm a little confused by the developments.

Can anyone help me with getting the cOIS upgraded as well as neogamma?

I really apreciate any help people can give.

    Many thanks for your reply.

I've downloaded the files but im a little confused as to what to do with them. On doing google searches it seems i am a lot more inexperienced than most when it comes so this.

Is there a simple tutorial on how to install both of these?

I apologise if these are basic questions howeve i'm a little confused as to the steps i should take fomr where i am at the moment.

    THanks

For the first file cios 38 rev 14

    3. GET A CIOS

    a) Go to Homebrew channel and run Trucha Bug Restorer, load IOS36, press 1, read the warnings then select 'downgrade IOS15', select to load IOS from SD card then let it do its job, keep an eye on what it is doing and make sure you select 'load from sd card' when it asks & don't get any errors.

    b) Run Trucha Bug Restorer again, this time select to load IOS15 on first screen using dpad left/right, then select the IOS36 menu & install patched (select 'yes' on all 3 patches) IOS36 to slot 36, again using IOS from SD card.

    c) Run Trucha Bug Restorer again, load IOS36 and this time select restore IOS15.

    d) Run cIOS38 r14 installer, select IOS36 as the one it should use and then select wad install.

For Neogamma, just install with Wad Manager.

Thanks for your help. I'll give this a go. To help me understand what I am doing, am i right in thinking that whatever I put in the WAD filder of the SD card can be installed using WAD manager?

Does all apps that i put in the apps folder automatically get picked up by the homebrew channel?

    Thanks again.
