I'm having trouble getting MPlayer CE to play DVDs at all. I am pretty stuck on what to do. DVDx was installed when I first used the HackMii thing when u launch Bannerbomb, now having downloaded MPlayer CE and wanting to play DVDs on it, it seems my Wii doesn't want to. My Wii is an Australian PAL Version running on 4.2E and DVD region is Region 4 PAL/NTSC if that helps anyone find me a solution.

Hi Messie, I can run DVD's using MPlayer CE 0.75, although not a good idea as DVD's can wear Wii DVD drive. I usually run fro HDD.
My question is I have 3.2E using HBC 1.0.6, I updated DVDx, and it works, is this due to my good looks and personal charm.

Maybe because you are a good member... well i have updated my HBC and now my DVDs dont play, altho i dont care, as wii is not a dvd player.. I have read that Mplayer cannot yet find DVDx channel (the new one) so i suppose thats it... i have no clue more than that tho

My wii suddenly doesnt want to play GeeXboX, probably shows the loading screen for 3 seconds then goes to a black screen with grey writing. Does GeeXboX play DVD's anyway?

Go to [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register] site and download cIOS_Installer.rar If this doen't work then try hermes cIOS_Installer.rar
Unzip the pack and put it in the apps folder of your sd card. Run with HBC and enjoy.
(Only MPlayer CE would play DVDs, not other MPlayers.)
