Question Is the LATEST version of 4.2 hackable with bannerbomb?

I'm considering to just update my Wii so I can use my MicroSDHC-> SD card so it can be recognized to install it but I don't understand if the latest version of Wii System Menu is currently hackable with bannerbomb

Yes, but you'll have to use bannerbomb v2, which uses the SD Card Menu.

As I recall, your Wii is a 3.1 and you have been told by members and moderators that it is not recommended to update to 4.2. If you wish to softmod your Wii, you will have to buy or borrow an SD card. I recall you had concerns due to only have a 4GB microSD and I think some USB device. Deliberately, subjecting your Wii to a Nintendo 4.2 update is really not the way to go as a number of people have told you.

Most Wiis that have been updated to 4.2 are softmoddable; some only get HBC channel back, most can be softmodded for full function. However, the softmod process can be more protracted due to the damage that needs to be replaced, bypassed, etc. There are more steps involved, the steps themselves have alternatives upon failure.

You have received links to the appropriate softmod tutorials and a 4.1 update only guide and either have not read them or not understood them. You might have difficulty with a softmod.

Perhaps consider a chipmod or hardmod where you bring your Wii in and someone places the chip for you. That would be preferable to the wandering about you are doing now and the lack of comprehension you show-it must very quite frustrating for you. Consider a chip mod or just enjoy your Wii as is-the vast majority of Wii owners do.

It's not that I don't understand but i'm just trying to confirm my beliefs before making any actions that could be irreversible. I've modded other consoles before with ease but that's because i've done a lot of question asking and reading.

Perhaps I was mislead by your phrase "I don't understand if the latest version of Wii System Menu is currently hackable with bannerbomb". I interpreted that to mean you did not understand.

Other posts with phrases such as "Please help!" and " Where do I begin?" certainly,as well as the nature of the questions themselves, gave the impression that you were not understanding the tutorials and the responses to your posts.
