softmod with usb instead of SD card

hey guys

i just recently got a wii console and want to softmod it however i do not have any sd cards or an sd card reader.

is it possible to softmod from a usb thumb drive ?

You can run homebrew channel off USB but you won't be able to get the initial bannerbomb hack to work without an SD card. Just get a Sandisk 2GB, they are cheap as chips.
